Your ceremony

Your wedding ceremony is the perfect expression of the love that the two of you share. My role as a marriage commissioner is to help ensure that the words exchanged are accurate reflections of what your love means to you. When you book me to be your marriage commissioner, I'll work with you as a couple to determine what you'd like your ceremony to convey. I'll help guide you through the process so that this most important event in your life is perfectly true to you. Whether you are planning a simple ceremony in your own living room, a same-sex marriage ceremony or a tailor-made ceremony, I can happily accommodate your desires.

The LEGAL PROCESS

In Alberta, you'll need an Alberta Marriage License prior to your ceremony. These can be obtained through any Alberta Registry Agent. The Registration of Marriage is signed by the bride and groom, two witnesses, and myself, the Ordained Minister, following the ceremony.  I will then complete the Registration of Marriage and mail it to Vital Statistics office. At the end of the ceremony, I will present you with A Marriage Statement which can be brought to any Alberta Registry to register for your official Marriage Certificate.
